Christ Church offers many special services and events throughout the year, in addition to our regular Sunday morning worship

SPECIAL SERVICES & EVENTS 2009

Inquirers' Classes will be held on Saturday, January 10, beginning at 10 a.m. (and ending no later than 4 p.m.)

Sunday, February 1:  Bishop vonRosenberg comes to Christ Church for Confirmation

Ash Wednesday, February 25: Holy Eucharist at 6 p.m. (Eastern)

Good Friday, April 10 : Good Friday Service at 5 p.m. (Eastern)

Easter Day, April 12: Holy Eucharist and Sermon at 11 a.m. (Eastern)

May 2009: Historic Rugby's Spring Festival ; Christ Church open for tours; sale items available

October 3, 2009: Michaelmas Festival at Christ Church, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EDT. English cream tea will be served at two seatings: noon and 1:30 p.m.; cost $10 per guest. Call 423-628-1282 to make tea reservations. Tea cookbooks, tea cozies, and additional crafts for sale; children's activities in the church yard.

CHRISTMAS AT CHRIST CHURCH: December 24 at 5 p.m. Holy Eucharist and Sermon (followed by a potluck supper in the Parish Hall)

 

INQUIRER'S CLASS: Who may attend?

  • Those who are considering being confimed in the Episcopal Church.
  • Those who want to know more about the history, beliefs, and practices of the Episcopal Church.
  • Those confirmed Episcopalians who would like a "refresher course."

Other classes may be scheduled later in the year.
